The Foundation for Activation and Integration for Ukraine was formed in the small town of Nowe in order to help people from Ukraine, and is providing some basic necessities, and integrating our "guests" with society here in Poland.
Here is just a short video clip - presenting the reality, and what we are doing to address it.
We thank all our benefactors for their support.
Take a look at some of our recent activities:
Our volunteers with their students in a Polish language class, working on a one-on-one basis with our refugees, blessing Traditional Polish Easter Baskets, and the big Easter Celebration in our quarters.
A group of volunteers in the small town of Borkowo (near Gdansk) organizing a Home for Refugees. Someone literally donated a building, which this group is renovating, and making ready to accept around 40 people. A group of 6 women and 2 men (and other volunteers who help them) are getting ready to receive a new group of people from Ukraine. You can see how the place is shaping up. They have purchased some furniture, they are putting it together and making the place friendly for adults and children.
A couple of the video clips have brief comments in Polish that don't really require translation as it is obvious what they are doing.
In the first video, a lady whose name is Monika, who is the coordinator of the effort, talks directly to us (in English) delivering a little THANK YOU talk for our help. Then a couple of small video clips will follow.
Also, they have purchased other items, like food, clothing, toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other items that were immediately needed. Also, they assist people in getting "social security" numbers and getting to their doctor appointments, and they also have organized a Polish language class.
A Big Thank You to All who have provided their support.
The Foundation was started almost immediately once the War began.
At first, it was on a very small scale, but with all the help that they received, it has grown, and continues to grow, reaching out to more and more people from the war-affected areas.
Take a look yourself, and see some of the activities they conduct thanks to the support of their benefactors.
