Welcome to the parish community of St. Mary.
I am Fr. Roch T. Drozdzik. A native of Poland, I entered the seminary in 1987 in my home diocese in Poland. I came to the United States in 1991 where I finished my studies to become a priest. I was ordained for the Diocese of Raleigh on June 22, 1996, in Wilmington, NC.
I served as the associate pastor at Sacred Heart Parish in Pinehurst, and at Holy Redeemer by the Sea Parish in Kitty Hawk on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Later, I served as pastor at St. Anne’s Parish in Edenton, and Holy Spirit Parish in Kinston.
I, then went to Transfiguration of Jesus from St. Bernadette in Fuquay-Varina, where I had served as Parochial Vicar since September 2013.
My passions are sports (mainly skiing), languages, and travel.

As a faith community, our parish mission is to work together to "Live the Gospel; Grow in faith through the Eucharist; and Share our gifts in service to others." We evangelize within the parish through Liturgical ministries, Faith Formation ministries, and Home Visitation ministries. We have maintained and supported St. Mary School providing excellence in Catholic education for over 75 years. Our parish evangelizes the Goldsboro community through the Saint Vincent de Paul Society, Soup Kitchen volunteers, and the support of the Wayne Pregnancy Care Center. Our parish is the home of the Knights of Columbus, Council # 5487, the Cursillo Movement, Emaus, the Ladies Gild, AAMEN, and a chapter of the Legion of Mary.
We hope you can come and visit us soon.
God Bless you,
Fr. Roch
